High North and European Security

The High North has garnered increased attention in global affairs, given its importance in geopolitical, economic, environmental, and military domains.  Attention to High North security is linked to developments and policy debates involving European security more broadly, particularly following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.  SCGA has supported a range of research projects and events related to the High North and European Security, including questions of nuclear deterrence and outer space.
