Annual Report of Activity, 2023-2024
The Scottish Council on Global Affairs (SCGA), the first all-Scotland global affairs institute, has published its annual report for 2023-24.
Established by the universities of Glasgow, St Andrews, and Edinburgh, SCGA has become a hub for collaborative, policy-relevant research, connecting academic expertise with civil society, government and the private sector.
It focuses on:

Research Highlights
SCGA has doubled its research proposals since 2022, with 31 submissions for 2023-24. Notable projects include:

- Public Attitudes and Global Health (University of Glasgow)
- Feminist Approaches to Foreign Policy (University of Edinburgh)
Case Study: A survey on Scottish and English attitudes to foreign policy uncovered broad support for international cooperation, human rights and environmental protections, showcasing SCGA’s dedication to impactful, policy-relevant research.

The SCGA has offered thought-provoking seminars and roundtables on global issues, such as:
