The Scottish Council on Global Affair, the Centre for Sustainable Solutions and the German Consulate General in Edinburgh are to host Climate Talks: Climate & Biodiversity Emergencies.
It is billed as a morning of insightful discussions and interactive sessions on the pressing issues of climate change and biodiversity loss. The event takes place on Monday 28 October 2024, 8.30am – 12.00pm at the Advanced Research Centre (ARC), University of Glasgow.
The event will be moderated by Professor Jaime Toney, Director of the Centre for Sustainable Solutions, and includes welcome remarks from John Edward, Scottish Council on Global Affairs; Christiane Hullmann, German Consul General, Edinburgh; and Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, Principal and Vice Chancellor, University of Glasgow.
A Q&A session will follow the two panel discussions (Climate Emergency, and Biodiversity Emergency) and Gillian Martin, Minister for Climate Action, Scottish Government will deliver closing remarks.
